    Overview

    Carpenter helper – Brampton, Ontario. Location referenced in original description: 63 Development Court, Brampton, ON L6S 5X2. Job Type: Full Time.     Responsibilities

    • Read and translate blueprints, drawings and illustrations to determine specifications and calculate demands.
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using gauging tools.
    • Measure, cut, form, assemble and join materials constructed from timber, wood replacements, lightweight steel and other materials.
    • Construct structures, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roofing systems.
    • Work settings include commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

    Qualifications

    • No degree, certificate or diploma required.
    • Experience: None required.
    • Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat.
    • Physical abilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking; capable of performing physical tasks in a construction environment.
    • Languages: English.
