    Title: RF Design Engineer

    Location: Ottawa Canada

    Duration: 6 months, this is a short-term project for 6 months.

    RF Design Engineer

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field, along with five (2) years of experience.

    Job Duties

    • Radio RF Architecture (25%)
    • Analyze product requirements to develop architectural solutions for RF hardware.
    • Translate product requirements into cost effective, efficient RF circuits and systems.
    • RF Hardware (25%)
    • Develop understanding of RF component ecosystem and stay up to date with suppliers' roadmaps.
    • Select critical components to develop cost effective and efficient RF designs.
    • Develop link budgets and cascaded analysis of RF solutions to meet product level requirements.
    • Execute schematic capture and layout of RF circuits and systems.
    • RF Simulations (15%)
    • Develop RF simulations of critical RF circuits.
    • Evaluate RF layout through simulation to understand effects such as parasitic loading, coupling and isolation.
    • Design Verification and Optimization Testing (20%)
    • Develop design verification test plans for both circuit level and radio level evaluations.
    • Execute performance optimization and tuning to meet stringent RF requirements such as noise figure, IP3 and P1dB.
    • Execute design verification testing at both the circuit level and system level to ensure each subsystem achieves are surpasses the product requirements.
    • Production and Field Deployments (15%)
    • Collaborate with the production team to develop manufacturing test requirements and limits.
    • Support the production team to solve yield problems associated with RF circuits.
    • Perform CP/CPK analysis of production test results. Adjust test limits based on statistical data and product requirements.
    • Support field deployment team to solve field issues related to RF hardware
