Role Summary:

You will work directly with the Product Manager along with other members of the organization to execute our strategic vision as being THE partner to financial advisors in Canada.

Today, we offer a platform for independent financial advisors to run their businesses and compete with the large incumbents.

The Advisor Services provides a platform for advisors to partner with their clients over the wealth journey. Our Advisor services platform enables advisors to do prospecting, and client onboarding, and continuously engage and service their clients.

Your Role:

Be a leader, and motivate your team to achieve sprint goals and objectives.
Work closely with Product Manager to create and maintain a product backlog according to client value.
Ensure engineering, product, and design are aligned on the project work to achieve our shared goals.

Your Responsibilities:

Providing vision and direction to the engineering team and stakeholders throughout the project.
Develop & maintain the product backlog with a focus on business results.
Work crossfunctionally with Business stakeholders, Operations, Product Manager, UX, and engineering team throughout the project lifecycle to successfully implement the functionality.
Groom & prioritize backlog into welldefined user stories and acceptance criteria.
Support the engineering team with clear requirements ahead of the sprint from concept to execution.
Ensure the product is aligned with the company vision by offering insights, answering team queries, and providing clarifications.
Act as gatekeeper of developed products.
Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities including QA testing.

Qualifications:

Exceptional Communicator: Be able to explain "why" to various stakeholders in a transparent, and open way.
Ruthless prioritizer: drown out the noise by leveraging data, and listening to our clients to know what needs to be built to solve complex problems in the simplest way.
Detail Oriented: You understand the details and you will ensure all relevant requirements are captured, understood, and communicated.
Scrum or Agile Experience.
Prior experience as a product owner or as a business analyst.
Bonus points: Understanding of financial services technology space.
