    Description

    How You'll Make an Impact:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department
    • Lead, motivate, and supervise front line employees to ensure required work is completed to standards efficiently, on time and within budget
    • Participate in hiring and training of staff, performance management, and employee development
    • Create and maintain staff schedules, process payroll, oversee attendance management
    • Perform regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to safety compliance, including timely reporting
    • Provide feedback and recommendations regarding work routines and staffing levels
    • Ensure adherence to established materials and labour budget targets, Sodexo and regulatory standards and client expectations
    • Maintain supplies to ensure adequate levels, distribute chemicals and consumables, monitor and report on inventory levels as required
    • Maintain customer/client satisfaction, manage escalations, and resolve issues as required
    Qualifications

    What You'll Need to Succeed:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 2+ years experience in materials management, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting
    • 1+ year leadership experience
    • Experience leading in a unionized environment
    • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety
    • Commitment to customer experience, client relations and service excellence
    • Experience working with labour management systems an asset
    • Experience with employee training, performance management, recognition, development
    • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
