YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:


  • Display aggressive hospitality and professionalism with guests, management and coworkers.
  • Follow all procedures and policies regarding beverage controls as prescribed by Marriott standards.
  • Set up bar, unlocking liquor, ice, glassware, juices and garnishes.
  • Accept drink orders from servers in proper calling order to keep bar service at optimum level of service for our guests.
  • Follow proper procedures for guest handling.
  • All cocktails are to be made in accordance with Marriott standard beverage recipes.
  • Be able to operate electronic cash register POS that is currently in use. No voids or deletions without prior management approval.
  • Day bartender will receive and check liquor against previous night's requisitions. Any discrepancies with the receiving order will be brought to the attention of the Food Services Manager.
  • Fill out liquor requisitions and supply list in accordance with posted par sheets.
  • Make sure established pars are maintained.
  • Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules and check lists.
  • Keep all bars neat and clean. Observe cleanasyougo policy.
  • Ensure all beverages are entered in POS system prior to serving.
  • Break down bar, lock up liquor, and store fruit and juices properly.
  • Perform any other duties as prescribed by beverage department management.
  • Take pride in all facets of service, quality, appearances, cleanliness, for self and for area of responsibility.
  • Comply with beverage department standard operating procedures.
  • Follow all Marriott policies and procedures as outlined in hotel manual.
  • Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend all departmental and training meetings.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by management that the Associate is capable of performing.
  • Other reasonable duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience and skills_

  • Minimum of 1 year bartending experience in a hotel restaurant or similar environment
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Mixology certificate

  • Must possess technical beverage knowledge and expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills in both official languages (English & French)
  • Superior service excellence skills to exceed guest expectations
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to perform physically demanding duties (standing, lifting, walking)
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends and holidays)
