- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment by using a DCS control system and performing periodic mechanical inspections, such as:
- Ball mill
- Gravimetric concentrators
- All associated auxiliary equipment
- Start and stop equipment in your sector according to established procedures
- Perform quality control tests (e.g., particle size test) on the process to ensure compliance with operating instructions
- Ensure the integrity of your shift sample and its preparation for the analysis laboratory
- Comply with, understand, and promote company regulations and policies, particularly those related to health and safety
- Ensure that work areas are clean and safe at all times
- Report any incidents/accidents to your supervisor
- Participate in the continuing education program with a view to replacing subsequent operations positions
- Participate in projects and tests in collaboration with external stakeholders with the aim of improving operations
- Maintain production information records and write reports
- Assist mechanics during maintenance work and production shutdowns
- All tasks related to the performance of their duties
- Vocational diploma in ore processing or relevant experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a grinding operator
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC control systems
- Valid driver's license
- Eleonore mine site (fly‑in, fly‑out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn‑Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji)
- Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off

About the role
The grinding/flotation operator is part of the process sector operations team. He/she is responsible for operating the grinding and flotation circuit in collaboration with the relief operator. He/she ensures the optimization of these circuits according to established performance indicators and identifies operational and mechanical problems with the equipment in his/her sector.
