    Architecture49 is seeking an Intern Architect to join our CENTRUS team.

    The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. The project is serviced by CENTRUS, a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team with members from A49 and other joint venture organizations. Working from Canada's national capital, the team is focused on the extensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of various crucial components of the building.     Responsibilities

  • Assist the architects and senior team members in project design.
  • Construction detailing and researching appropriate materials.
  • Validate plans with project programs and apply the code analyses prepared by senior architects.
  • Review existing documentation and visit site to gather data for the preparation of architectural drawings, documentation, models and visualizations.
  • Actively maintaining and progressing the professional requirements for provincial internship.
  • Qualifications

  • Accredited professional architectural degree from a CACB recognized University.
  • Registration in, or eligibility to register in, a provincial professional internship program.
  • 1-5+ years of relevant experience in an Architectural consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software; AutoCAD software; Microsoft 365 environment; and Bluebeam.
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of visualization software (Sketchup, VRay, Enscape); Adobe Creative Suite and Generative Design Tools.
