Summary of Position


To support leading linen management, distribution, and a positive healthcare customer experience, Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service is currently seeking a Full-time, Permanent _
On-Site Hospital Distribution Manager_ located in Ontario.


Duties and Responsibilities
In support of effective on-site linen management and distribution across the hospital, the On-site Distribution Manager will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Be the primary Ecotex distribution contact for Hospital and Long-Term care accounts, developing and maintaining a collaborative culture and linen distribution partnership with our clients.
  • Understand indepth how linen is ordered, prepared, and distributed throughout healthcare facilities.
  • Hiring, onboarding, managing, and developing a team of high performing on site distribution porters across multiple locations.
  • Develop and streamline on site distribution standard onboarding and operating procedures to ensure a consistent experience across healthcare facilities.
  • Use exceptional communication skills to ensure daytoday and longterm customer needs are met by supporting onsite staff to execute work routines and special requests as directed.
  • Proactively identify and recommend productivity enhancements to more effectively distribute linen to the right place at the right time.
  • Manage linen ordering integrity, utilization, and optimization across multiple accounts.
  • Manage staff budgeting process and payroll.
  • Partner effective with the local Ecotex Account Manager and Operations on annual distribution plans to support customer objectives.
  • Complete monthly and ad hoc linen reports to ensure appropriate utilization and decision making at the distribution level.
  • Complete monthly onsite inventory audits and distribution quality checks.
  • Participate in monthly account performance and priority reviews where relevant.
  • Manage customer service distribution issues quickly and effectively.
  • Significant day travel (>70%) to healthcare facilities across the region and flexible hours are required in this position.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Exceptional ability to inspire, manage and develop large teams into high performing organizations.

  • Exceptional ability to develop strong working relationships through appreciative inquiry and listening skills.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare linen services and unionized environments.
  • Strong communication skills including ability to negotiate and build consensus.
  • Strong data analysis leading to actionoriented insights and recommendations
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and sensitivity in dealing with hospital and staff information.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully resolve issues with high sense of urgency and customer experience focus
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through

Education and Experience

  • University Undergraduate Degree or combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years people management experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience with healthcare account management or direct working experience in a hospital or long term care setting.
  • Previous experience with project management an asset.
First round interviews for this position will be held April 2nd and 3rd for successful applicants.
