    Position Details

    The Grounds Department requires the services of students to assist permanent staff in grounds care for the summer months April 29 – August 30. Duties will include:
  • Mowing with push and ride on mowers
  • String trimming
  • Emptying trash bins
  • Litter picking
  • Digging for irrigation repairs
  • Cleaning tilling and weeding feature beds
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Note: A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required.

    Pay Rate: $19.22 Hourly Position Qualifications Interested candidates must be proficient or have the ability to quickly learn the skills needed to:
  • Mow grass
  • Operate lawn care equipment
  • Work independently or as a team member, in a high-volume, service orientated work environment with frequent changes to work priorities.
  • All of the work involves interaction with the public so the ability to work safely and be aware of surroundings is paramount. Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) Hiring Range indicated in Position Details Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
