Flavours of India and Sura Lounge are sister restaurant and lounge in Halifax specializing in authentic North Indian cuisine.

We are looking for team players who value service excellence and are excited to bring unmatched, 5-star hospitality to Halifax.

Would be a highlymotivated person who enjoys working with and for people.
Appreciates the importance of great customer service and is actively finding ways to improve each customers' overall experience.
Must be able to guide guests through the menu, answer questions, make recommendations, and suggest appropriate meals if required.
A selfstarter, willing to take initiative and be a reliable team member.
Prioritizes their work appropriately and manages time well during busy hours.
Wants to learn from others and is always keen to improve their own skills or develop new ones.
Has knowledge of alcoholic drinks.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Mixing beverages as per the specified recipe and method
Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations
Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
Keeping a wellstocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
Informing the manager well in advance whenever anything needs to be restocked
Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
Slicing, pitting and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks. Making sure they do not get spoilt.
Creating unique drinks
Serving customers at the bar
Complying with all food and beverage regulations
Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour
