Department Overview

  • The Finance, Risk and Transformation group is responsible for the overall financial strategy and management of the finance function for Finance, Risk and leads all Finance transformation initiatives including FRP. This Finance team is responsible for financial analysis, planning, performance measurement/analysis and oversight of the reporting function (including financial reporting, and regulatory reporting compliance) to support TD Bank Group in achieving its strategic objectives.

Job Details

  • The Associate Vice President, Finance Transformation reports to the Vice President Finance, Risk and Transformation and is responsible for leading a dedicated team of Finance professionals responsible for Finance measurement, analysis, and decision support.

Job Requirements

This role is responsible for the change leadership on behalf of the Finance leadership team and colleagues related to the planning, design and implementation of Finance transformational initiatives including but not limited to FRP.


Position Specific Accountabilities

This role is responsible for the change leadership on behalf of the Finance leadership team and colleagues related to the planning, design and implementation of Finance transformational initiatives including but not limited to FRP.

Finance and Business Leadership Accountabilities:

  • Leads the vision of Finance transformation initiatives and the FRP solution for Finance; accountable to ensure the on-going delivery of value to Finance function
  • Defines the value stream from a Finance process/requirements perspective
  • Aligns Finance stakeholders to the vision, strategy and priorities of FRP; identifies and engages key leaders and users / experts to ensure the appropriate resources and decisionmakers are involved
  • Develop, build and manage a team of finance professionals, including the recruitment of qualified/skilled resources, ongoing development and coaching.
  • Ensure alignment of the Finance strategy, priorities and overall Value Stream and FRP technology roadmap
  • Lead the stakeholder engagement, process reengineering, communication and training of the FRP program cross Finance
  • Support TDBG and Finance's overall priorities and business development initiatives in line with risk appetite (including expense management, data governance and process/control optimization)
  • Ensure the impacts of policy and project implementation decisions are understood and strategic choices address challenges or opportunities to ensure an efficient and effective execution.
  • Improve collaboration between teams and enable cross skilling

Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations

  • CA/CMA/CGA/MBA/CFA

Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • A finance executive / top level professional with broad range of financial management and advisory experience with extensive understanding of the business and key financial drivers
  • Possess advance level of expertise and financial acumen to provide insight on strategy development and be a strategic partner to the business on a broad range of
