Citadel Fence is a fast-moving and growing fence contractor focused on becoming the premier fence installation company in Atlantic Canada.

We are looking for a Yard Manager to add to our team in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Citadel provides their clients with privacy and protection through the installation of chain-link, ornamental, wood and vinyl fences.

Understanding that clients may have unique needs, Citadel collaborates with customers, industry partners and experienced professionals to provide the right product in every situation.

Citadel has a culture that challenges its employees to improve, learn new skills and solve any issues brought forward by customers.

The Yard Manager will help ensure that the yard always remains organized and that employees have all the necessary tools, materials and equipment for their upcoming jobs.

They must be a manager who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors and helping their team. This position will be Monday-Friday from 11am-8pm.

Responsibilities:

Load trucks with materials needed for next days jobs.
Unload trucks in the evening to prepare for the next job.
Accept and organize deliveries
Foster strong working relationships with team members
Track and maintain inventory of supplies and materials;
Ensure material storage yard and buildings are organized;
Maintain equipment through proper cleaning and preventative maintenance
Delivery of tools, equipment and materials to crews when needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 years' experience in construction
Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment
Welding experience would be considered an asset
Ability to operate a smartphone/tablet
Valid driver's license and the ability to meet travel requirements of the position
