Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for calling leads from our database, setting appointments, and maintaining/developing our CRM system.

The right person has a minimum of 2 years Inside Sales experience and is tenacious, resourceful, self-motivated with an outgoing personality who thinks outside the box.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Meet activity quota of calling 80+ companies per day;
  • Secure a minimum of 35 new qualified first time appointments per week for the Outside Sales team;
  • Attempt to speak to 610 decision makers per day when making dials;
  • Follow process for cold and warm calling to generate new qualified appointments;
  • Actively manage leads through the Inside Sales process;
  • Actively participate in Daily & Weekly Sales Meetings and weekly allstaff meeting;
  • Participate in Inside Sales Training and a Sales Support Peer Group;
  • Ensure all documentation and playbooks are properly maintained and updated in a timely manner;
  • CRM Lead database development and management;
  • Follow up calls from various marketing campaigns to help generate appointments;
  • Leverage Social Media to develop relationships with prospects.
  • Attend other regular internal/external meetings as required
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CRO

Compensation & Benefit Details:


  • Starting annual base salary of $40,000.00 plus commissions with expectation of total annual compensation of $80,000+ if hitting basic targets.

Additional Details
You'll work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, during standard business hours. This is a hybrid position, with occasional work in our Markham office as needed, but can also work remotely.

A strong, reliable internet connection is a must. We have regular virtual meetings through MS Teams, to ensure that our team is always connected and working together.
