This is a remote position.

  • This is a fulltime remote role for a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be managing bookkeeping/accounting clients and will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing financial statements, understanding intercompany transactions as well as subledgers, managing accounting deadlines, working on various accounting adhoc projects for month end/year end close, processing payroll, reporting and analytics work, working on various other accounting projects (expense reporting, inventory management, etc) while working within our CRM and Project Management tool, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, administration work, submit timesheets for daily work, and providing support during tax filing season.
    Requirements:
  • Resides in Ontario, Canada
  • 3+ years experience in bookkeeping and accounting with knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices
  • For recent grads, a combination of studies+1 year of experience is acceptable
  • An Accounting or related degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel, PowerPoint, and other accountingrelated platforms
  • A strong aptitude for learning new systems and approaches
  • The ability to navigate new cloudbased software such as Zoho Books, Freshbooks, Sage, AccountEdge, etc.
  • Ability to function in a fastpaced environment with strong multitasking skills while working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the company's financial information as well as its clients
  • A dedicated space to perform work remotely and neatly with mínimal interruption
  • Experience with cloudbased accounting software, such as SAP and/or NetSuite, is a plus
