The Retail Business Manager is accountable for developing and maintaining a highly effective sales channel strategy, thereby improving ABB's market penetration while meeting profitability targets. In this role you will be responsible for initiating and leading the development and execution of a profitable growth expansion of our Canadian ELIP resale business, with the aspiration to double the business over the next 3 years. This position will partner closely with the Product Manage-ment, Engineering, SCM, Operations and the Sales teams to define and flawlessly execute a strategy that focuses on accretive bolt-on products to increase the breadth of our portfolio. Plans and implements product strategies to meet business objectives in line with local product strategy and division go to market strategy. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and deploying key strategic initiatives to en-sure sustainable growth and high levels of customer satisfaction, while continuously monitoring the overall channel's performance


Your responsibilities

:


  • 1.Strategy
  • Defines, implements, and communicates the sales strategy and budget.
  • Responsible for providing strategy for the sales team, and for harmonizing the market sales, marketing plans and commercial operations plan.
  • 2.Targets
  • Defines key targets (e.g., volume, prices mix) and ensures these are achieved by customer. Ensures detailed business plans with regular followup are in place.
  • 3.Negotiations
  • Contributes to critical sales and key frame agreements negotiations. Supports account managers and support teams in the offering and proposal process. Structure regular business reviews. Manage any commercial agreements
  • 4.Partners
  • Identifies and evaluates channel opportunities together with the Account managers / local sales team; authorizes in coordination with the Account management team annual performance assessment activities and marketing plans.
  • Defines and implements annual performance assessment and forecast
- process with the account managers for customers.

  • 5.Marketing
  • Coordinates sales and marketing efforts that require channel partner participation. Ensures appropriate communication, promotion and training activities in the channels
  • 6.Customer relations
  • Supports driving strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with our partners, customers, and other decision makers. Plans the strategy to support key markets, driving market share gain.
  • 7.Risk
  • Monitors client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Responsible for identifying and managing risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers / channels / segments.
  • 8.Market activity
  • Monitors competitors' activity with each potential and existing account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
  • 9.Account plan
  • Leads the development and implementation of Customer account plans to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Proposes recover plans in case potential order shortfalls.
  • 10.Communication
  • Reviews all sales numbers regularly with Senior level management with ABB and the Customers. Entry of all project and sales data into appropriate database system. Coordinate all plans and programs with the sales regions.
  • 11.Collaboration
  • Works in close relationship and proximity with the local sales teams as well as has an open and clear dialogue with the account managers implementing plans, reporting business activity, and reviewing sales numbers on a regular basis. Work closely and
