    About the Job

    Skanna Systems & Investigations Inc. is currently looking for a Full-time Security Guard in Cornwall, Ontario.

    SHIFT:
    • Flexibility to work any day of the week (including weekends).
    • Reception and Gatehouse Duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Enforce regulations of the establishments.
    • Visitor Access Control.
    • Maintain order, follow, and adhere to post orders.
    • Use telecommunications (i.e. two-way radio, cell phone, telephone paging systems).
    • Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures.
    • Monitor security cameras.
    • Operate security control room equipment.
    • Patrolling.
    • Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed.
    • Respond to alarms, bomb threats, and other emergencies.
    • Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism.
    • Report writing.

    Qualifications, Required License, or Certification:
    • Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard License.
    • CPR Level C Certified.
    • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
    • Must be available to do shift work: Afternoon, nights & weekends.
    • Must drive (own vehicle).
    • Good communication.

    The Ideal Candidate will possess:
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
    • Professional work ethics.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods.
    • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs site-specific.
    • Excellent Customer Service.
