Youth Alcohol & Drug CounsellorNative Healing Centre - Health Services
Full Time: 35 hrs/week - $30 - 33/HR.
PGNFC Health Services requires a Youth Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, working in Prince George.
The counsellor will work with other counselling staff and PGNFC programs to ensure support to clients through both cultural and clinical ways of working; to deliver prevention and early intervention workshops and activities.
The position includes counselling support, supporting cultural connections, crisis intervention, referral and advocacy, group facilitation and working closely with all other service providers in the community.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or any other related discipline from a recognized university.Experience in counselling, group facilitation and crisis intervention are an asset.
Ability to build relationships with the professional community work independently, and part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as computer literacy.
