Summary of Position

The Construction Labourer/Van Driver is responsible for ensuring job sites are clean, free from debris and ensures that project materials get to their respective job sites.

The construction Labourer/Van Driver works closely with the Operations team and fulfills an integral role on the team.

Responsibilities

Follow the established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
Clean and prepare construction sites for work including, but not limited to; removal of debris and garbage, shovelling, digging, sweeping, snow removal, carrying blocks and beams, driving, traffic control, equipment maintenance
Ensure construction equipment is cleaned and in good working order
Load, unload, and transport materials
Have experience/be comfortable using hand and power tools including, but not limited to; hammers, drills, chainsaws, skill saws, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Deliver a wide variety of items to various addresses and through various routes.

Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a
delivery van.

Required Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or other related fields is preferred
Strong interpersonal and problemsolving abilities
Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes
Highly responsible & reliable
Experience dealing with tools and machinery
Must have the ability to perform physically challenging work
Must have a valid G driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Always acting in a professional manner with fellow employees and customers
Maintain a professional appearance
Be flexible to the demands of specific projects as per instructions from the Operations Manager, Director of Construction, Project Manager or Lead Hand/Site Superintendent.

Pay:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour
