About the BCLDB:
The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province.
The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.
The LDB is committed to government's goals of making life better for people in B.C., improving services, and ensuring a sustainable province for future generations.
Liquor Retail Operations, encompassing the three retail business units of Merchandising, Marketing and Store Operations, is responsible for the daily operations of the 198 BC LIQUOR stores.
The Retail division develops and executes key strategies to drive business, creates systems and processes, and establishes daily retail procedures to maximize operational excellence, while upholding BCLDB's core values of service, relationships and results.

About this role:
Reporting to the Content & Production Manager, the Content & Production Coordinator is responsible for managing the production schedule for internal and external contributors including the designers, product consultants, writers, stylists and photographers; as well as managing advertising bookings and materials in accordance with the detailed production schedule; They are responsible for the initial review and organization of materials including editorial pitches, shot list, articles and recipes and web files, as well as the final invoicing; In conjunction with the Content & Production Specialist they are responsible for the sourcing, management, inventory and organization of all props and products used during the photography session.
The Content & Production Coordinator works in a dynamic and results-oriented environment with frequently changing issues and priorities.
This position must develop and maintain the following relationships:
- Beverage Alcohol Suppliers/External Advertisers
- Contributing Writers/Food and Cocktail Stylists
- Photographers
The Content & Production Coordinator supports the TASTE team in working in collaboration with the web/digital team to provide input and recommendations for content for digital assets where appropriate.
The TASTE magazine projects the image, standards and brand values of BCLIQUOR as outlined in the overall marketing plan corporate strategy.

Position requirements:
Education and Experience:
Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate and a minimum of 1 year of recent, related experience* assisting and/or coordinating projects or teams for a marketing, advertising, production, publication or a related discipline.
- Recent related experience must have occurred in the last 5 years
- Experience with both MAC (Macintosh/Apple) & PC (Windows) operating systems
- Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, English, Communications, Publishing, or a related field.
- Experience proofreading and editing articles/editorial materials etc...
- Experience propping, set design and/or visual presentation.
