    El artista de animación en Rodeo FX es responsable de entregar actuaciones hiperrealistas y de alta calidad para criaturas, personajes y objetos animados. Con un ojo afinado para timing, peso y emoción, el artista aporta vida y credibilidad a los assets animados, ya sean realistas o estilizados.

    Trabajando en estrecha colaboración con el líder y supervisor de animación, contribuye creativamente y técnicamente al éxito de cada plano, respetando la visión artística, las especificaciones técnicas y los plazos del proyecto.

    Responsabilidades clave

    • Entregar un trabajo de animación pulido que cumpla con la intención creativa y las especificaciones de producción.
    • Demostrar un sólido dominio de los principios de animación: timing, peso, arcos y poses, en diversos estilos de actuación.
    • Adaptarse rápidamente a distintos contextos de animación: criaturas realistas, objetos mecánicos, personajes estilizados.
    • Interpretar dirección creativa y materiales de referencia para construir actuaciones expresivas y matizadas.
    • Proponer ideas originales y movimientos que mejoren la narrativa y el impacto del plano.
    • Buscar e integrar retroalimentación constructiva para elevar la calidad de la animación.
    • Asegurar que la animación sea limpia, funcional y lista para exportar a departamentos subsiguientes.
    • Anticiparse y resolver problemas relacionados con rigging o escenas en colaboración con equipos técnicos.
    • Mantener convenciones de nombres, estructuras de archivos y requisitos técnicos siguiendo el pipeline.
    • Proporcionar estimaciones realistas de tiempos, comunicar rápidamente problemas o retrasos potenciales y colaborar para ajustar prioridades si es necesario.
    • Mantener comunicación abierta con producción, líderes y departamentos adyacentes para garantizar una entrega fluida y resolución de problemas.
    • Detectar obstáculos proactivamente y proponer soluciones viables en caso de problemas técnicos o creativos.
    • Participar activamente en dailies y revisiones, presentando el trabajo claramente y respondiendo a las notas.
    • Compartir herramientas, consejos y enfoques con compañeros para fomentar la mejora colectiva.Participar en sesiones de aprendizaje, iniciativas del estudio o programas internos de mentoría.
    • Mantenerse actualizado con tendencias, software y metodologías de animación para perfeccionar la práctica.

    Cualificaciones

    • Mínimo 6 años de experiencia en un estudio de VFX o animación.
    • Dominio avanzado de Maya; experiencia con otras herramientas de animación es un plus.
    • Comprensión sólida de la mecánica corporal y animación facial.
    • Capacidad para animar a partir de referencias y construir actuaciones convincentes.
    • Alta atención al detalle, autonomía y habilidad para gestionar plazos eficazmente.
    • Mentalidad positiva y colaborativa, con fuertes habilidades de comunicación.
    • Deseable experiencia con ShotGrid u otras herramientas de seguimiento de producción.
    • Deseable conocimiento de fundamentos de rigging o desarrollo de herramientas personalizadas.

    • Experiencia demostrada como artista de animación Mid o Senior.
    • Residir en Montreal.
    • Se requiere ciudadanía canadiense, residencia permanente o permiso abierto de trabajo.
    • Disponibilidad para trabajar en el estudio al menos 3 días a la semana.
