Our Company is growing and we are currently looking for a CNC Automation Tehnician to join the team_

Position Summary

  • Load, modify and troubleshoot CNC programs for automated machines. Troubleshoot and ensures that automated equipment continue functioning during run e.g Robotic Welder, Bender, Hammers, Upsetters etc
  • Note
- this is a rotating shift. The applicant must be available to work mornings/afternoons/night shifts


Responsibilities

  • Creates instructions for Operators
  • Communicates continuous improvement opportunities to operations and engineering.
  • Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
  • Chooses cutting tools, welding fixtures or hammer / Upsetter dies that will be needed.
  • Modifies existing programs for increased efficiency.
  • Use material handling equipment to deliver parts to automation equipment.
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Reset and clear faults including removal from not conforming products to get machine running
  • Work closely with Eng and maintenance to ensure equipment continue functioning.
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:


  • Robotics and Automation diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of robots electronics, CNC programming, Forging and machining.


  • Preferred

  • Experience with FANC robot programming.
  • Must have superior CNC programming skills.
  • Must have excellent reading comprehension skills.
  • Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics.
  • Good active listening skills.
  • Must have good problem solving skills.
  • Must have good organizational and planning skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Must have the ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.

$32.57 per hour
