Creative Genius Academy brings art to everyone, regardless of background or experience.

We teach students to break out of their comfort zone, explore new mediums and have a great experience creating art We believe that anyone can make art and bringing out someone's creativity is like taking a bird out of a cage.

This person must care about the work they produce and the value that they bring. If you're someone who wants to show up and be a paperweight, this is not the role for you.

Your day will consist of helping people register for classes, creating content for marketing, posting on social media, updating the WordPress website, booking events, sending out newsletters, homework and welcoming parents to the studio.

- proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram)
- basic knowledge of WordPress
- strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (knowledge of Cantonese / Mandarin is an asset)
- minimum 1 year of experience in fields related to customer service and sales experience
- the ability to work within a team environment which requires excellent communication skills (you know how to speak up about how you feel rather than gossiping)
- the ability to work independently and make decisions
- a positive, energetic, genuine attitude (no Debbie downers)
- a strong work ethic (you care about your work)
- strong problem-solving skills
- the ability to adapt to stressful situations
- availability to work weekdays 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM and/or weekends 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

COVID-19 considerations:
All tables and chairs are sanitized before and after classes.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (required)
