    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Superintendent, Special Projects to lead teams and execute quality projects on time and budget. You will supervise multiple sites across Vancouver and collaborate with management to maintain schedules and budgets.

    Key Responsibilities

    • On-site supervision and coordination of trades for various projects.
    • Collaborative team leadership and supervision of all construction activities.
    • Project delivery according to drawings, specifications, project schedule, and budget.
    • Partnering with management and subcontractors to maintain construction schedules and resolve problems.
    • Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Developing recovery strategies for delayed projects or budgets.
    • Reviewing and updating schedules, cost forecasts, and cash flow with Project Managers.
    • Maintaining field documentation, including safety reports and progress records.
    • Providing leadership and ensuring site staff adhere to our company safety culture.
    • Organizing weekly subcontractor meetings.
    • Supervising, mentoring, coaching, and training project personnel.

    Qualifications

    • At least 5+ years of experience working on residential, institutional, or commercial projects up to $10 million.
    • Exterior or Building Envelope experience is an asset.
    • Technical diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
    • Strong relationship and team-building skills, proven integrity dealing with Clients, Trades, and Consultants.
    • Thorough knowledge of construction aspects, including technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements, jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, drawings, specifications, procedures, scheduling, and safety requirements.
    • Proven creative problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, including translating technical information to non-technical individuals.
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore.

    Estimated Salary

    $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
