  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Position Summary


A Creative Marketing Specialist is responsible for content creation, graphic design, development of marketing decks and design layout for various projects including promotional flyers, websites and merchandise.

The position may involve customer interactions to establish distribution networks and determine promotional events throughout the year to facilitate efficient department operations.


The Creative Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for assisting in the planning, promotion and execution of company-wide events for our valued employees and customers.

When supporting events, traveling, evening/weekend work and physical lifting will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out the design, product selection, pricing and supplier management for the monthly promotional flyers (corporate and associate flyers multiple versions)
  • Create corporate specialty catalogues and update them annually
  • Construct and distribute the monthly internal company newsletter
  • Manage and create content on all social media accounts for Canusa/APC, Delaware Speedway and United Racing Series
  • Maintain the Canusa/APC, United Racing Series and Delaware Speedway websites by completing updates, uploading new content and news, maintaining the store locator and tracking website analytics
  • Print any requested books and flyers and ship them to the necessary store locations as per managements preferences
  • Design and print content for Delaware Speedway and United Racing Series as needed (e.g. itineraries, event posters)
  • Assist other departments within the company with the graphic design of internal company posters
  • Design logos, graphics and promotional merchandise such as vectorbased apparel designs for APC events, United Racing Series and Delaware Speedway
  • Compile and create data for new website population
  • Additional duties assigned by the management team

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Suite required (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Proficient computer skills (data entry, web navigation, online research, online database usage, typing, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with printing and shipping promotion content required
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent ability to work independently and as a team
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measure
  • High level of professionalism
  • Positive attitude with a flexible mindset
  • Health & safetyconscious (e.g. practice good hand hygiene and proper office ergonomics)
  • Accountability and dependability
  • Time management skills and prioritization skills with a deadlineoriented mindset

  • A valid G Driver's Licence and a clean driver's abstract is an asset (for traveling to marketing events)
  • If you drive for the company, you must continuously maintain a satisfactory standard of driving during your employment. You give consent to Canusa and the Company's insurance company to pull your driver's abstract on an ongoing basis, at a frequency determined appropriate by the business

Transportation
Canusa's head office and warehouse is not located on a bus route, so individual transportation will be required.
