This is a rare opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our dynamic FinPro & Casualty Claims team with the backing of Swiss Re's strong industry reputation.

Reporting to the Canada FinPro & Casualty Claims Manager, we are seeking an experienced claims professional with a real passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Employing excellent adjudications skills, you will independently handle casualty and professional liability claims from first notice to resolution while also working closely with the underwriting and products team.

You will be based in our Toronto office under a fully flexible work environment.

In addition to handling claims in Canada, you will work with colleagues across international regions, providing advice and insight into Canadian trends and exposures.

You will also work with business partners to market our products and services through industry events and client meetings.

Your responsibilities:

Actively manage a portfolio consisting primarily of Casualty claims, with responsibility for endtoend adjudication processes
Confidently navigate in both primary and excess insurance claim environments
Collaborate with customers and brokers to achieve the most advantageous claim resolution
Work with the Operations team to ensure effective and efficient claim administration and accurate data
Actively engage with Client Markets and support marketing efforts by meeting with current and prospective clients
Provide high level analysis of claims portfolio results to the business
Identify and analyze claim trends
Review, support and assist in developing policy wordings and tailored solutions for clients
Liaise with Actuarial, Finance and Risk Management colleagues to share information in the management of claims, clients and risks
Represent and promote Swiss Re Corporate Solutions at industry conferences, client events and professional society functions

About You:

5 years' experience handling Casualty claims
Experience handling professional liability claims is highly desirable
A university degree or equivalent work experience
A law degree is highly desirable
Bilingual in English/French is an asset
Possess or willing to acquire adjuster licenses as needed for various jurisdictions (i

e:
New Brunswick, Newfoundland, PEI)

Strong analytical, negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Selfstarter requiring mínimal direct supervision
510% travel
