    Description

    Math and Science Teacher

    Bialik seeks a dynamic and passionate educator to join our exemplary General Studies teaching faculty as a Math and Science Teacher for Grades 7 and 8. This role will be located at our Viewmount Branch in midtown Toronto and is a part-time parental leave position beginning in September 2024.

    Expectations

    The successful candidate will be expected to:

    Be a creative professional who can apply their teaching experience in Bialik's STEM environment

    Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement lesson plans that align with Ontario curriculum standards

    Incorporate various teaching methods and instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning styles

    Design and administer student assessments, and communicate performance and progress with students and parents

    Stay updated with the latest educational trends, research and technologies in math and science education

    Establish and enforce classroom expectations and procedures to maintain an orderly and productive learning environment

    Foster a positive relationship with the school community

    Have strong problem-solving skills and work ethic

    Be well organized and detail oriented.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in education

    A member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)

    Specialization in Junior/Intermediate Divisions preferred
