Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Provide preoperative consultations and evaluations to assess patients' medical history and determine appropriate anesthesia plans
- Perform postoperative evaluations and provide pain management strategies
- Document patient information, anesthesia administration, and postoperative care in medical records
- Stay uptodate with advancements in anesthesiology and participate in continuing education activities
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Valid state medical license
- Experience in acute care settings, such as hospitals or surgical centers
- Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring techniques
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
