Anesthesiologist - Toronto, Canada - Children's Dental Office

Description

Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Provide preoperative consultations and evaluations to assess patients' medical history and determine appropriate anesthesia plans
• Perform postoperative evaluations and provide pain management strategies
• Document patient information, anesthesia administration, and postoperative care in medical records
• Stay uptodate with advancements in anesthesiology and participate in continuing education activities

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Anesthesiology
• Valid state medical license
• Experience in acute care settings, such as hospitals or surgical centers
• Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring techniques
• Strong data collection and analysis skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics
• Knowledge of pain management techniques and protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
