Job Summary

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist will perform diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with established procedures within the MRI Department. The incumbent will maintain a safe environment, adhering to professional and provincial guidelines, while ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs and maintaining standards set forth by Accreditation.

Experience

• Prior experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging is preferred.


• Familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving Systems (PACS) is required.

Education

• A graduate of an approved MRI training program with successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology registration examinations (CAMRT).

Certification/Licensure/Registration:

• Succesful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration within three months after hiring.
