Description

Reporting to the Director of Digital Innovation, part of the Technology & Business Solutions team, the incumbent will drive innovation across Evolugen by working with business and technology stakeholders to build out our Data and Analytics function.

The incumbent will utilize their expertise in data quality and analytics to improve to data quality and processes, drive efficiency through automation, and build data products.

This position offers an opportunity in the energy industry, dealing with the commodities markets (energy, capacity, natural gas, environmental credits, etc.) and the risk management concepts surrounding a portfolio of power generating assets and trades.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automated workflows and profile datasets in Alteryx to enable data preparation and enrichment, data publication and consumption
Leverage data to create or enhance data products, or prepare data for system configurations
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automate manual processes, optimizing data delivery process, redesign infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Define and implement processes to measure, monitor, and report on Data Quality levels for generation meter data
Resolve data quality issues by working cross functionally with Operations, IT, Meter Service Providers, Settlements, and Generation Asset Management teams
Identify recurring issues through root cause analysis, and advocate for mitigating solutions

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience with a focus on data and analytics technologies and creating data products
College degree in Information Business Administration, Technology, or a related field (e.g., Data Management, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Informatics)
Familiarity with DMBOK principles, or Data Quality or CDMP certification(s)
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to advise, influence, and collaborate effectively across business partners at different levels.
Experience establishing and/or running data quality processes and tools
Applied experience in data governance and/or data management, including ability to assess analytics architectures, data governance and data management approaches in a federated model
Experience with Analytics Preparation / Automation software (eg. Alteryx Designer)
Experience with lowcode development (eg. Power Automate, Power Apps)
Experience designing and configuring reporting and analysis using Business Intelligence and Visual Analytics platforms (eg. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
Understanding of data architecture (e.g. data models, data warehousing, pipelines and cloud computing).
Familiarity with SDLC, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and change management
Familiarity with querying and programming languages (e.g. SQL, R, Python, etc.)
