The City of Delta is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and share in our commitment to lead the way in public service excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide constant communication with Volunteer Coordinators in regards to the participant's portfolios, background information, program progress and in assessing and dealing with any participant challenges;
Maintain regular communication with participant's parents regarding their child's progress;
Assist participant to integrate into camp activities and recreation settings;
Work with summer day camp staff to incorporate children with disabilities into summer programs. This includes being aware of the plans for each day and working together to recognize activities in which the child can participate. Provide input into programs that may need to be modified and assess activities that may not be suitable for the participant;
Assist with participants toileting (when necessary);
Deal with problems and behavioural issues that may arise.

Qualifications

The City of Delta's Covid-19 Vaccination policy has been suspended, however, we reserve the right to reinstate it in response to changes in the public health landscape, including pulbic health orders.
