About the opportunity
This positionis responsible for managing the maintenance parts inventory for the stock room on the farm.

Purchasing Clerk is also required to pick up the parts from the shop, deliver various parts to the on-site farm and maintain organization of all parts in the farm maintenance shop.

Responsibilities

Efficiently maintain stock movements and stock inventory of the farm maintenance shop
Assist with the parts and supplies order and pick up
Assist in purchasing farm supplies and inputting data into Guide TI
Receive, unpack, label & sort incoming parts, supplies, and materials
Assist with parts receiving administration and record keeping
Issue and distribute/deliver parts and supplies for internal use and to the appropriate designated areas
Keep farm maintenance shop and onsite parts room organized
Respect OHS policies and procedures and good manufacturing practices (GMP, GFSI, and HACCP)
Comply with the established dress code and the wearing of mandatory protective equipment
Assists in building a safety culture by following health, safety and environmental standards, including ergonomics, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices, WHMIS, and the observance of PPE requirements
Embody and display the company values of Humility, Safety & Integrity, Responsibility, Teamwork and Autonomy
Additional duties may be assigned as required

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

High School Diploma
Minimum one (1) year experience in maintenance or warehouse inventory
Valid BC drivers license
Must be able to lift up to 50Lbs
Experience driving a Forklift is an asset
Effective interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to handle a heavy workload

Environmental and Physical Demands:

This position requires extensive time standing; occasional time sitting at a desk working on a computer, walking bending, reaching; working conditions include working in an office within a production facility that includes cold and damp processing and packaging environment, as well as a fresh produce farm with outdoor fields and seasonal employee housing/residences.

Salary:
From $20.00 per hour
