Oversee and manage environmental projects, ensuring they are on time and on budget. Lead and mentor teams, prioritize safety, and maintain client relationships. Specialize in contaminated site investigations and restorations, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with our different expertise's as needed.
Responsabilities:
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, finances, and ensure technical accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Guide the different project teams, mentor juniors, and emphasize safety.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain client relationships, identify potential clients.
- Expertise: Specialize in contaminated site investigations and restorations.
- Documentation: Analyze findings and draft technical documents and proposals.
- Compliance: Ensure projects meet all regulations.
- Safety: Prioritize and promote team safety.
- Collaboration: Coordinate across various expertises.
- Additional Tasks: Handle any other duties for project success and client satisfaction.
- Education: To hold a university degree in civil and/or geology engineering or natural and/or earth sciences.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in environmental consulting, with a focus on contaminated site assessment and remediation.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, including:
Groundwater monitoring and sampling
Soil sample collection and logging
Remedial actions like excavations
Emergency spill response
Quality assurance and control protocols - Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of both provincial and federal environmental regulations, with emphasis on the City of Ottawa and Ontario's guidelines.
- Contaminants: Knowledge of common contaminants; experience with PFAS is a bonus.
- Site Characterization: Ability to analyze and interpret data from site investigations to determine contaminants and their concentrations.
- Sampling Expertise: Define the need for sampling, determine best practices, and assess the reliability of the results.
- Data Interpretation: Evaluate data to spot trends, changes, or signs of environmental stress.
- Report Preparation: Draft comprehensive site assessment reports that detail potential risks and necessary actions.
- Communication: Capable of conveying findings to stakeholders, including property owners, regulators, and the public.
- Driver license: hold a valid driver licence.

Sous la supervision du Directeur, le titulaire du poste agira à titre de gestionnaire d'équipe pour Groupe ABS inc. Pour son équipe, il est responsable d'assurer le suivi auprs des directeurs de projets, des chargés de projets ainsi que des adjoints chargés de projets afin de s'assurer du bon déroulement des projets et des services rendus aux clients.
Principales responsabilités
- Gestion de projet : Superviser les échéanciers et les finances du projet et s'assurer de l'exactitude technique ;
- Leadership: Guider les différentes équipes de projet, encadrer les juniors et mettre l'accent sur la sécurité.
- Relation client: Établir et entretenir des relations avec les clients, identifier des clients potentiels.
- Expertise: Se spécialiser dans les enquêtes et les restaurations de sites contaminés.
- Documentation: Analyser les résultats et rédiger des documents techniques et des propositions.
- Conformité: Assurez-vous que les projets respectent toutes les réglementations.
- Sécurité: Prioriser et promouvoir la sécurité de l'équipe.
- Collaboration: Coordonner les différentes expertises.
- Tâches supplémentaires: S'occuper de toutes autres tâches pour la réussite du projet et la satisfaction du client.
Profil
- Formation : Dtenir un diplôme universitaire en génie civil et/ou en géologie ou en sciences naturelles et/ou de la Terre ;
- Expérience : Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience en consultation environnementale, avec un accent sur l'évaluation et l'assainissement de sites contaminés;
- Compétences techniques : Connaissance des évaluations environnementales de sites Phase I et II et de réhabilitation, incluant :
o Surveillance et échantillonnage des eaux souterraines
o Collecte et analyse d'échantillons de sol
o Plan de réhabilitation
o Protocoles d'assurance et de contrôle de la qualité - Connaissances réglementaires : Compréhension des réglementations environnementales provinciales et fédérales, avec un accent sur les directives de la ville d'Ottawa et de l'Ontario ;
- Contaminants : Connaissance des contaminants courants ; une expérience avec les PFAS est un bonus ;
- Caractérisation du site : Capacité d'analyser et d'interpréter les données issues des enquêtes de site pour déterminer les contaminants et leurs concentrations ;
- Expertise en échantillonnage : Définir le besoin d'échantillonnage, déterminer les meilleures pratiques et évaluer la fiabilité des résultats ;
- Interprétation des données : Évaluer les données pour identifier les tendances, les changements ou les signes de stress environnemental ;
- Préparation de rapports : Rédiger des rapports d'évaluation de sites complets détaillant les risques potentiels et les recommandations nécessaires ;
- Communication : Capable de communiquer les résultats aux parties prenantes, y compris les propriétaires fonciers, les régulateurs et le public ;
- Permis de conduire : détenir un permis de conduire valide.
