Schedule:

9AM-3PM, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Responsibilities

Complete both light and heavy cleaning of resident apartments and common living areas (hallways and front lobby) based on established cleaning schedules
Complete care and cleaning of all floors and rugs using institutional housekeeping equipment
Complete seasonal cleaning tasks, as assigned
Identify and address incidents of offensive behaviours
Complete discharge cleaning
Participate in housekeepingspecific infection control practices
Participate in the development and maintenance of work routines
Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including:
Follow established safety procedures for storing, distribution and handling of housekeeping chemicals
Clean machines used during shift and ensure continued safety of machines
Ensure housekeeping cart maintains all hazardous substances within the locked compartment and remains locked at all times when unattended
Use all equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions
Wear proper safety equipment and PPE when necessary

Qualifications Required:

Completion of grade 10
6 months minimum experience of general cleaning, either institutional or publicbased
Demonstrated proficiency in operation and use of a computer, related technologies and software required for the role
Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
The ability to communicate in Dutch is a definite asset
