For this role, we're in search of someone with project management experience, a keen eye for details, excellent time management skills, and advanced writing abilities.

The successful applicant will be perceptive, hard working, and able to balance the needs of diverse stakeholders.

Part program coordinator, part writer, part systems thinker, your main role will be coordinating two multi-sector conservation and knowledge exchange projects: the Alberta Regional Caribou Knowledge Partnership (ARCKP) and the Canadian Conservation and Land Management (CCLM) Knowledge Portal.


In addition to these two main projects, approximately one quarter of your time will be spent supporting other science communication projects delivered by the Fuse Consulting team.

This may include helping deliver efficient project planning and workflows through task management software, assisting with facilitation and/or workshop planning and delivery, writing high quality and impact science communication products, and other tasks to help clarify next steps and execute projects with clarity and credibility.

EXPERIENCE:

environmental sciences or conservation biology, or at a minimum have a strong interest in these disciplines. Experience with website management and fund administration are considered strong assets for applicants but are not required.


YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:


  • Play a leadership role in advancing the ARCKP and CCLM towards their ambitious plans and towards achieving impact and outcomes on conservation and resource management in Canada.
  • Manage internal and external communications for the CCLM and the ARCKP.
  • Map out project timelines, project plans, and yearly budgets with the goal of achieving the outcomes of the ARCKP and CCLM.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Steering Committee members, funding recipients, and service providers and keep them accountable to timelines and reporting processes.
  • Working with a professional facilitator, coordinate and document meetings for the CCLM and the ARCKP, helping partners advance key action items and decisions.
  • Write and administer a Request for Proposals process for the ARCKP with the goal of advancing key projects related to woodland caribou conservation and forest management.
  • Envision, plan and execute all details for events hosted by the ARCKP and/or CCLM, including field tours, webinars, workshops and/or training sessions.
  • Prepare annual reports for the ARCKP and CCLM, with the goal of showcasing program achievements and updating partners on progress achieved.
  • Provide administrative support to the Chair, Treasurer, and Project Managers for the CCLM and Alberta Regional Caribou Knowledge Network.
  • Manage editor accounts, mailing lists, and webform feedback for the CCLM Knowledge Portal.
  • Provide support to other Fuse team members in planning and executing facilitated events.
  • Provide expert writing services to other Fuse clients as required.
