Description

Aquazition is currently looking to hire a General Labourer.

Major Work Area:

Assist in working with Water Operators
Assist with operating equipment
Other general labor and construction related duties.
Take part in the maintenance, testing, and monitoring of: water mains and major sewers; pumping stations.
Perform water main swabbing pressure testing, chlorination, dechlorination, and water quality sampling.
Fire hydrant repairs and fire hydrant flow testing.
Perform general maintenance on equipment.

Equipment Experience:

Chlorination equipment
Water mains
Water pumps
Pressure Pumps

Specific Skills:

Check, clean and lubricate waterworks equipment
Adjust and repair waterworks equipment under the direction of a qualified tradesperson
Search, locate and repair reported water leaks
Testing and monitoring using chemicals, such as chlorine.

Additional Skills:

Keep a record of work performed, location and condition of the equipment
Mechanical Skills

Own Tools/Equipment:

Steeltoed safety boots

Requirements:

Attention to detail
Handeye coordination
Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50lbs
A valid G driver's license
Able to safely operate company vehicles when needed

Work Site Environment:

Outdoors, wet/damp
Construction Site
