Payroll Specialist - Oakville, Canada - Naylor Building Partnerships
Description
We are looking for aPayroll Specialist to join our HR team.
This role will entail developing and managing the timely payment of both salaried and hourly employees as well as benefits administration.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, terminate and update employee information
- Input and process weekly payroll for multiple companies
- Assist with the preparation of source deductions, WSIB and other government remittances
- Participate in annual procedures for all companies including T4, TA and T2200 preparation as well as calculate taxable benefits
- Act as a primary contact for insurance related documents required for subcontractors and customers (WSIB clearance certificates, certificates of insurance, contractor qualification packages, gas cards, etc.)
- Maintaining records and expenses for fleet vehicles, uniforms, and tools
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports
Requirements:
- University Degree/ College Diploma with focus in HR/Accounting/Business
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification (or in progress) an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of inhouse payroll experience considered an asset
- Proficient in MS office and accounting software
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP an asset
- Demonstrates attention to detail, quality and accuracy in work
- Is able to resolve problems by evaluating options and developing solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to take on other duties as needed
