Morelli Chertkow LLP is looking for an experienced Litigation Lawyer (5-8 year call). Morelli Chertkow LLP is one of the oldest and most well known law firms in the Thompson Nicola region.

We are a full-service firm providing a range of litigation and solicitor services to our clients. Our litigation department includes Personal Injury, Insurance Defence, Family, Estate Litigation and general Civil Litigation.

We welcome lawyers from all litigation backgrounds and provide support and mentoring to those coming from an ICBC/Plaintiff personal injury background to transition to other practice areas.

We are looking for a lawyer to grow and develop our already busy litigation team, and who shares our values of client-centered service, investment in the Kamloops community and who values diversity, equity and inclusion.

Job Requirements:

Proven track record of managing complex files without sacrificing quality or attention to detail
Extensive experience in BC Supreme Court and Family Law Rules as well as court proceedings and processes
Experience in negotiating and mediating with a winning track record
Proven experience to contribute to the success of a team

Qualifications:

Must be in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
Professional with excellent judgement and the ability to exercise discretion regarding confidential information
Strong work ethic
Client centered approach
Flexible and adaptable to constantly changing needs within the firm
Strong interest in growing the scope of our firm
Ability to handle high volume and the fast pace of our busy practice.
