  • 1. Prepare and deliver lessons, lectures, and demonstrations for educational purposes to students and/or staff as may be required.
  • Evaluate and record student progress with the use of assessments, assignments, and observations in accordance with program and institute guidelines.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies in support of a blended learning experience.
  • Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
  • Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment and feedback to students on the required learning platform (BrightSpace)
  • Respond to curriculum/course demands and make necessary adjustments according to learner needs such as adult learning principles.
  • Maintain and update curriculum materials.
  • Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements
  • Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in practical work experience

  • 1. Bachelor of Education including classes dealing with the exceptional child or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Two years' recent and relevant experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.**Desired QSA
