Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing team as a

Retail Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Marketing

  • Shopper & Performance, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and execution of the Shopper Marketing program as well as act as point of contact for the promotion of our digital flyers.

What You'll Do:
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with key performance partners such as supplier partners and other external vendors. Stay up to date with key industry trends in the digital performance space and share learnings and educate cross
  • functional teams.
  • Regularly visit analytic tools, such as Google Analytics and custom vendor dashboards, for monitoring campaign performance, optimizing on a regular basis and report on ROAS. Evaluate performance and prepare postmortem reports with key insights as required.
  • Work closely with the Promotions, Merchandise, eCommerce and Media teams to ensure cross functional collaboration during the seasonal planning process to meet objectives.
  • Act as point of contact for the promotion of our digital flyers. Track and monitor all media purchases to ensure programs are completed accurately, on time and on budget.
  • Support Merchandise and Marketing teams with educating their supplier partners on the marketing opportunities available through the shopper marketing program.
  • Support the execution of the shopper marketing program by working with supplier partners on developing the creative brief for all digital creative, production review and traffic of media.
  • Coordinate with supplier partners and finance for contract agreement and ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with vendor/publishers, supplier partners and finance on invoicing to ensure accuracy to the contract agreement and completed work.

What we're looking for:


  • Degree in Business, Marketing or Advertising and three to five years' experience.
  • Demonstrated media experience and good understanding of digital marketing tools.
  • Good understanding of various advertising mediums and their KPIs to track and publish to propose/develop sales driving advertising programs.
  • Selfstarter with exceptional negotiation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook; proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premier a definite asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to take initiative and multitask, strong project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; high degree of problemsolving abilities, able to assess problems and recommend solutions.
  • Eye for detail and ability to turn data into meaningful learnings and insights.
