Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA):

Job Duties - The position will require the successful applicant to deliver multiple courses within the Occupational Health and Safety Certificate program on campus and online.
- Teach, coach and supervise on campus and online.
- Manage the learning environment by providing student support.
- Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback to students and program.
- Document student marks appropriately and in a timely fashion.
- Select, design and update courses and materials.
- Liaise with Program Head.- QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Specific Accountabilities
Duties
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
- 1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field including education, engineering, health, nursing or science, or equivalent combination of education and experience (postsecondary diploma in a related field and three years of direct workbased experience in Occupational Health and Safety).
- Formal certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Two years of work experience as a practitioner in Occupational Health and Safety in the last five years.
- CRSP certification (or the ability to obtain certification within two years of hire).
- Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) designation is considered an asset.
- Effective communication (written and oral), interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
