provides environmental, archaeology, and regulatory expertise across Western Canada supporting clients in upstream and midstream oil and gas, municipal infrastructure, Indigenous communities, utilities, forestry, and commercial/industrial sector projects.

As a full-scale service provider, H3M knows how to deliver pre-construction assessment, planning and permitting, construction, post-construction restoration, reclamation, and remediation services across multiple sectors.


Role and Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Fleet management administration, compliance, and tracking (50%)

  • Fleet Management Program audit and continuous improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders in record and information management for procurement, registration, insurance, branding, and disposal of fleet units
  • Tracking Driver Authorization Forms
  • Making sure teammates have signed all required documents, supplied DL numbers, and driver abstracts
  • Obtain new documents annually or as needed
  • Facilitating Authorizations and De Authorizations for Commercial Vehicle
  • Ensuring compliance with Hours of Service for Commercial vehicles
  • Stay a tune to changing regulatory conditions and notifying Commercial drivers of such.
  • Develop process for new hires to ensure they are added, educated and up to speed on our fleet requirements.
  • Look for ways to save $ by analyzing the data in the Samsara Application
  • Drafts and presents reports on department operations and expenses.
Prepares and implements fleet and asset budget.


Fleet Maintenance, repairs, and up keep (25%)

  • Making sure things that need to be repaired are repaired.
  • Inspect and report on vehicles
  • Assess operational status of all vehicles
  • Regular maintenance oil change etc.
  • Complete inspection reports
  • Establishing relationship with shops
  • Receipts tracking, maintenance schedule updates
  • Update maintenance records in Samsara with details and receipts
  • Clear DVIR alerts daily and address as needed
  • Monthly Detailed inspections of all assets and tracking thereof
  • Overall compliance with the Fleet Management

Asset procurement and inventory management (15%)

  • Rental Agreements Management
  • Oversees inventory of all tangibles such as well as rental equipment.
  • Purchases supplies, materials, and parts
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; directs purchasing programs accordingly.
  • Negotiates and completes contracts with vendors for optimal cost and delivery times.
  • Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
  • Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
  • Maintains vehicle and asset inventory databases
  • Collaborates with different departments to maximize efficiency in the inventory control
  • Decaling of assets
  • Registration of assets

Safety & Compliance (10%)

  • Ensuring the vehicles have safety kits
  • Ensuring that the DVIR's are completed daily
  • Ensuring teammates have access to the Samsara Portal
  • Ensuring all documentation is in the vehicle
  • Quarterly submission of IFTA information to regulator
  • Scheduling CVIP inspections for commercial vehicles
  • Complete, file and maintain Driver evaluations
  • Adhere to H3M's Health & Safety regulations
  • Maintain WorkHub Compliance
  • Inspect the shop on regular basis to ensure it is organized, clean & safe

Qualifications and skill:

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience in fleet maintenance or repair
  • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
