    Job Title: FSQA Inspector (Night Shift) at Maple Leaf Foods



    Description:

    The FSQA Inspector role at the Heritage facility is responsible for ensuring compliance to food safety and quality systems within their assigned area. The role involves conducting daily pre-operational inspections, supporting certification audits, performing quality and food safety-related decision-making, and participating in projects to improve food safety and quality.

    • Conduct daily pre-operational inspection on equipment and ensure sanitation team completes forms.
    • Support team on certification and customer audits.
    • Perform necessary inspections and swabs.
    • Maintain cleaning records and verify completion of duties.
    • Review line inspections and product quality.
    • Participate in monitoring tasks and corrective actions.
    • Prepare sensory samples and participate in evaluations.
    • Verify sanitation practices and chemical concentrations.
    • Participate in microbiological and analytical sampling.
    • Provide coaching to employees and management.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Food Safety/Science or equivalent.
    • HACCP I-II certified is an asset.
    • Strong understanding of Sanitation, SOPs, HACCP, and GMPs.
    • Experience in maintaining FSEP program.
    • 1-2 years QA experience in Food industry.
    • Strong MS Office skills.
    • Knowledge of SAP and LIMS is an asset.
    • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills.

    Work Environment:

    • Plant environment with 2-shift operation.

    • Minimal travel and low physical requirements.
