Job Title: Regional Crown Prosecutor's Office - Lawyer/Senior Lawyer
Summary
Our client is dedicated to upholding the rule of law, promoting the public interest, and ensuring impartial justice administration to enhance community safety and resilience. They are looking for legal candidates to join the Regional Crown Prosecutor's Office as a Lawyer or Senior Lawyer.
Responsibilities
- Handling criminal and quasi-criminal prosecutions in various Court levels for offenses under the Criminal Code of Canada, Youth Criminal Justice Act, Control Drugs and Substance Act, Cannabis Act, and Provincial Statutes.
- Providing guidance to law enforcement on investigations, advising on charges, pre-trial preparations, and representing in Provincial Court.
Work Environment
- Monday to Friday schedule, 36.25 hours per week
- Scent-reduced work environment

Qualifications
- Law Degree, completion of Articling, and eligibility for the Law Society of New Brunswick membership
- Criminal history and security clearance check required
- Written and spoken English proficiency
Experience Required
- Lawyer: Up to 8 years of bar membership with trial experience
- Senior Lawyer: Minimum of 8 years at the bar with extensive trial experience
**Note:** Candidates with less than 8 years will be considered for the Lawyer role; 8 years or more for the Senior Lawyer role.
Remuneration
Salary range between $57,954 - $144,378 based on qualifications.
