LOCATION


Located approximately 100 kilometres east of Toronto, NHH is a vibrant community hospital delivering a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services.

Directly serving a growing population of more than 60,000 residents spread across a mix of urban and rural settings, NHH directly employs approximately 750 people and relies on the additional support provided by a highly engaged and supportive network of physicians, midwives and volunteers.


ROLE OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Vice President People, Culture and Organizational Effectiveness, the Manager Talent, Organizational Development (OD) & Effectiveness is an integral member of the People, Culture and Organizational Effectiveness Team.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, this exciting leadership opportunity would give the successful incumbent the opportunity to lead on strategies that progress NHH's people strategy in alignment with our shared purpose of People First.

In this role, you will contribute to the co-designing, implementation, and evaluation of NHH wide organizational development and effectiveness strategic initiatives.

You will be a strong advocate for creating and sustaining the NHH culture that aligns to our shared purpose and values.


Key Accountabilities/ Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the creation, implementation, and evaluation of NHH's people strategy
  • Oversees the timely execution of NHH's organizational development and learning programs
  • Develops, monitors, implements, evaluates, and tracks people analytics metrics in support of NHH's people strategy
  • Working closely with the Vice President People, Culture and Organizational Effectiveness to create, implement, sustain, and embed a Values Based culture in NHH
  • Owns the endtoend process for staff, volunteer and physician engagement including but not limited to survey dissemination, results validations, action planning and monitoring
  • Actively promotes initiatives, strategies or activities that advance NHH's shared purpose of people first and NHH's equity, diversity, inclusion agenda
  • Consults and collaborates with stakeholders to determine ongoing needs and related program modifications, including organizational development interventions
  • Identifies opportunities to increase and promote engagement at every point in the employee life cycle and beyond
  • Proactively promotes NHH's Employee Value Proposition and undertaking activities or strategies that make NHH an 'employer of choice'
  • Works in collaboration with stakeholders in designing and implementing talent management initiatives, including performance management, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Extends orientation and onboarding support for new people leaders
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, 5 years of relevant experience demonstrating transferable skills
  • CHRP designation with the HRPA required
  • Professional integrity and commitment to NHH Values and share purpose of People First
  • Commitment to service excellence and high drive for results. Ability to deliver on agreed goals in furtherance of NHH's people strategy
  • Experience managing and developing successful organizational development/organizational effectives initiatives through influencing and effective mentoring and coaching
  • Experience in people analytics or people metrics reporting in story telling
  • Relational/interpersonal skills ability to build, foster and nourish effective professional relationship to be successful in role
  • Independent and innovative selfstarter must be able to function autonomously, manage competing priorities and work effectively despite interruptions and concurrent tasks
  • Astute written and verbal communications skills, with ability to communicate effective across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence best practice in training, learning and development strategies and opportunities as required
  • Experience aligning leadership development priorities with NHH's CARE strategic objectives
  • Exceptional, dynamic
