Job Summary:


The Facilitator is responsible for preparing, developing, and reviewing individuals' skills and competencies in navigating the job market and helping them achieve sustainable employment.

This role is also responsible in developing and facilitating programs, workshops, and connections that fosters growth for individuals.

Program Manager


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conducts information sessions to potential participants
  • Conducts intake assessments for potential participants and assesses their eligibility for the program
  • Facilitates and develops dynamic and engaging workshops on job search and life skill topics
  • Assists participants in developing individualized and selfdirected action and career portfolios
  • Follows up with participants on a regular basis and record progress notes in a timely and professional manner
  • Customizes participants' resumes to fit identified opportunities and conduct mock interviews to prepare participants for job interviews
  • Provides job search support and employment connections/opportunities to program participants
  • Coordinates and participates in program events to connect clients with employers/mentors in Information and Communication Technology and Marketing & Sales sectors
  • Makes cold calls and have facetoface meetings with potential employers in Information and Communication Technology and Marketing and Sales sectors to develop specific job opportunities that match program participants' skills, training, work experience, interests, and career goals
  • Maintains productive ongoing relationships with existing employer connections and actively reach out to establish relationships with new employers
  • Communicates with service providers and employers for marketing and client referrals
  • Collects data and prepares reports on both regular and adhoc basis
  • Supports clients to achieve sustainable employment
  • Ensures that all services provided are consistent and aligns with agency standards
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required

Education, Training and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Education, or related discipline; equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of facilitation and/or job developer experience
  • Experience in developing and delivering job search skills workshops and related activities for Information & Communication Technology and Marketing & Sales job seekers
  • Experience working with young job seekers with multicultural and diverse background
  • Personality Dimension Level 1 Facilitator Certificate
  • CCDP certification an asset
  • Knowledge of community resources and services in the Greater Vancouver area
