POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Respond to guest concerns and provide effective action and follow up.
  • Coordinate strategies to rectify overbookings.
  • Ensure relevant departments are kept informed of occupancy and requirements of specific groups.
  • Hiring, training, coaching, and development of associates.
  • Financial accountability targeting key areas of improvement and/or growth
  • Driving sales through delivering a quality product & customer experience
  • Oversee Front Office operations and staff including guest reception and night audit.
  • Maintain exceptional guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotels.
  • Personally demonstrate a commitment to exceptional guest services by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to guest concerns.
  • Demonstrate Concord, Autograph and Courtyard brand values in daily leadership, maintaining a positive, effective, and efficient environment.
  • Responsible for selecting, training, developing, coaching, and motivating front office staff.
  • Scheduling the department according to business levels ensuring ongoing management of time and attendance.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as required.
  • Produce and maintain accurate financial records; reconcile daily cash log and night audit reports.
  • Compile guest satisfaction data and continually analyze to reinforce areas of strength while proactively identifying and resolving areas of opportunity, anticipate guest trends and assessing guest expectations.
  • Develop effective departmental communication and information systems through the use of communication logs, department meetings, and hotel meetings.
  • Maintain continual communication between all departments within the hotel to ensure a consistent and cohesive guest experience.
  • Complete duties of direct reports, as needed; supporting reception at peak times by answering the telephone and assisting with checkins and checkouts, performing night auditor duties, as required.
  • Responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures. Assist in training staff accordingly.
  • Work closely with Director of Operations to meet guest security needs.
  • Other duties within the scope of the position as required.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum 5 years hotel management experience in a fullservice Front Office role.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Commitment to succeed in a teamoriented environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving, planning, forecasting, and implementation abilities
  • Dedication to safety measures and best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Superior working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Ability to work flexible hours: Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Experience in a dual branded property will be considered an asset.
  • Marriott brand experience will be considered and asset.
  • Working knowledge of Lightspeed PMS will be considered an asset.
  • Meet physical demands of the position; ability to lift at least 30 pounds regularly, stand and walk for long periods of time and twist, bend, squat, and stretch to perform routine tasks.
