Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic bridal & fashion retail sales person who also has some social media skills to join our current team. In this role you will engage with customers to understand their needs, assist them in finding the right products, and ensure a positive shopping experience. You will also be required to assist in modelling clothing for our social media sites and assist in promoting the stock for on line sales. A genuine interest in fashion is a must as well as a certain amount previous sales experience in the fashion field.

Saturdays & some Sundays are a must along with other various shifts during the week as required

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience ensuring that all of their needs are met
  • Handle cash and computer check out transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Utilize effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
  • Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending complementary items by styling their look to perfection.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by placing merchandise as needed and ensuring that all is in good order and that the store is clean & tidy
  • Spearhead with social media posts, paid advertising, website changes and online sites for future sales, some video/photographic capabilities etc
  • Able to lift 20lbs and kneel as required during performance of duties
  • Hand sewing or sewing machine capabilities is an asset
  • Ability to Model clothing and possibly do hair or makeup for shoots as well as using the designers own photo shoots of gowns for customers to view the diversity of merchandise
  • Fabric knowledge, steaming and preparing of garments will be required and suitable training will be given

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
