SUMMARY:


We are looking for an energetic and experienced Project Manager to join our fun, collaborative, hard-working, and growing PMO Team.

Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office, you will leverage your exceptional leadership capabilities and project management expertise to effectively manage the project life cycle taking projects/programs from planning to final implementation and successful completion.

You will be accountable for delivering projects within scope, on schedule, on budget, at the expected quality, and in alignment with the PMO's methodologies and guidelines.

This position is highly influential and will interface with Metro employees at all levels and various functions across the business.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Accountable for managing and leading multiple projects simultaneously using PMO methodology, standards, and governance.
  • Responsible for ensuring projects are completed ontime, onbudget, and costeffective.
  • Provide project management rigor.
  • Develop and manage all project documents from project chartering, budgeting, WBS, change request, closeout, etc.
  • Responsible for securing acceptance and approval of deliverables from project sponsor and stakeholders
  • Manage, motivate, and coach project team members to ensure completion of respective tasks.
  • Act as liaison between the project team and upperlevel management
  • Identify and manage project risk with project sponsor and steering committee.
  • Responsible for project communication, including status reporting, risk management, escalation of issues, etc.
  • Ensure all project documents are stored and managed in project repository.
  • Establish and monitor project controls related to scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
  • Manage contractor/consultant relationships relevant to the projects.
  • Create and manage the budget.
  • Identify issues that need to be resolved during projects and facilitate resolutions.
  • Escalate more complex issues to the Director, PMO for resolution as required.
  • Conduct training as relevant or required to project team, other project managers or wider team.
  • Provide formal and informal training, coaching, mentoring.
  • Develop presentations, reports, postmortem, project closeout.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 5 + years' experience and demonstrated ability in managing a range of diverse projects and external clientdriven projects, simultaneously and across different time zones.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Change Management Certification preferred.
  • Experienced in 3PL and Transportation including transport operations and technology solutions.
  • Experienced in Lean and/or Six Sigma preferred.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Experience working in a matrix or projectbased environment.
  • Experience working with and leading projects and working/interfacing with clients.
  • Experience facilitating the resolution of challenging project issues.
  • Proven facilitation, negotiation, and influential skills and entrepreneurial approach
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Builds and manages an effective project team.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Flexible and selfdriven to excel in a fastpaced environment.
  • Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
  • Software expert (MS office, Smartsheet, MS Project, Visio, etc.)
  • Ability to travel.

EDUCATION:


  • PMP Certification
  • Knowledge of resource management, budget, cost management tool

EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience, preferably in a Supply Chain or Transportation environment
