Position Overview:
Totten is looking for a Technical Assistant, Operations for a 4 month contract from May to August to provide exceptional operations support in our Oakville office reporting to the Senior Underwriter.

Role Responsibilities:
Bordereaux completion and reconciliation
Preparation of documentation:
New/Renewal/Endorsements /Registered Letters, Certificates of Insurance, etc.
Triage - reviewing and assigning broker submissions to the appropriate Underwriting Department
Coding of all policy documentation (under binding contracts as well as company issued)

Other assistance as required
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year in the insurance industry in a support role or equivalent preferred
Enrolled in a College/University Insurance Program preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel are required
Knowledge of industry software an asset (TAM, Policy Works)
Effective communication skills
Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
Ability to work independently and in a team structure
Ability to self-manage and meet static time lines
