Description

Windsor Arms Hotel is looking for a passionate Restaurant Manager with strong guest relations to lead all aspects of our Hotel's fine dining restaurants.

You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. In this position, you will be reporting to the General Manager.

The Restaurant Manager's responsibilities include maintaining the restaurants' revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintain a high front of house experience.


To be successful in this role, you will need management skills and experience in both front of house service as well as food and beverage operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Schedule and supervise shifts and front of house staff
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations for front of house staff
  • Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve the service and guest experience
  • Responsible for beverage inventory
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Hire new and train current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Daily briefing with the restaurant team
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Requirements:


  • Proven work experience with a minimum of 4 years' experience in a fine dining as a Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Must have knowledge of continental cuisine, including a thorough understanding of liquor, wine and drafts
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software like OpenTable
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make an impact by increasing sales through operations, marketing and service excellence.
  • BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
  • Smart Serve certified

Salary:
From $50,000.00 per year


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
